For the third time the control room furniture company Winsted is a winner of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the UK accolade for business success.
After awards in 2012 and 2013, the company has been recognised again for its contribution to International Trade, delivering growth through the design, manufacture and delivery of control room furniture.
General Manager Terry Shough said: “For the third time in five years, Winsted has been conferred with the UK’s most prestigious award for business achievement: The Queens Award for Enterprise. This is a tremendous achievement, achieving this award again in such a short space of time confirms the company’s position as a leading supplier within our industry.”
About the Queen’s Awards
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are made each year by the Queen and are awarded in International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development, on the recommendation and advice of the Prime Minister. As a Queen’s Award winner, the company can expect an invitation to attend a reception at Buckingham Palace with Her Majesty The Queen in July.
Shough adds: “I am very proud of the strong team we have here at Winsted and I’d like to thank them all for their professionalism and commitment to ensuring our worldwide reputation and success over the years. This is a very exciting time for Winsted. We have experienced an extraordinarily successful start to the year, and as a company we are going from strength to strength.”
