More UK universities are adopting incident and campus security software; including Greenwich, South Wales, East Anglia (pictured), Manchester, and Central Lancashire. More than a quarter of UK universities are now using SafeZone, says the developer CriticalArc. The product is for students and staff to contact their campus safety and security teams, and for first responders to respond to calls for assistance, and push out security and other alerts.
Through its command and control software, SafeZone OmniGuard offers real-time situational awareness, for campus teams to see and coordinate resources to address incident hotspots. Safezone also supports heat-mapping, the developers add, to enable managers to better plan patrol patterns and also of use for lone worker protection.
CriticalArc meanwhile has appointed two new Customer Success Managers. Sean Edge takes on this role for CriticalArc in the UK while Karl Palma will be working with customers in Australia, says Darren Chalmers-Stevens, Managing Director EMEA and APAC for CriticalArc.
