Heera Diamonds, the London Hatton Garden jeweller and insurance client of Primassure, the specialist insurance broker to the jewellery trade, recently received the new ‘smash and grab’ training from StoneHawk.
Craig Wilson, Business Development and Client Relations Manager Europe arranged the training session for his client. He says: “We feel that is imperative that jewellers are proactive in their efforts to reduce their risk of a ‘Smash and Grab’ attack. This course does just that, teaching you how to prevent, react and respond to an ever-increasing threat.”
StoneHawk is a security training company tailored to the jewellery, watch, pawnbroking, Asian gold and high-end retail sectors. Their four-hour training is delivered at a client’s showroom or dedicated training sites and aims to minimise on business downtime, staff abstraction and travel costs. The course has been designed with support from the police, sector-relevant intelligence networks, insurance brokers, and membership associations. Mahesh Chugani, Director of Heera Diamonds says: ‘Simon and the team at StoneHawk were very professional. Our team learnt a lot from the training. There were different security instances discussed and the staff were really thinking security and have been even more aware of since. StoneHawk covered different scenarios based on their experience and the staff queries which I though was the most important. Totally with it. I would recommend any business especially jewellers to take part.”
