The organisers of Transport Security Expo (Transec) 2014 have awarded the contract to deliver security and stewarding services at the London event to Securitas. Transec, pictured, runs at Olympia on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 1 and 2.
The multi-national contract company has been appointed to oversee the build-up and breakdown of the show and to ensure exhibitors and visitors have a trouble-free time. According to the organisers over 4500 visitors are expected to attend the two-day event. Security officers will also be placed at strategic locations about the venue to provide a physical and reassuring presence.
Last year, Transec drew 3500 visitors from 88 countries and the organisers are promising over 150 exhibitors from across the globe, 75 conference speakers plus workshops and live demos.
Securitas Country President Brian Riis Nielsen said: “Following our successful safeguarding at IFSEC 2014, we are, once again, delighted to have been chosen to safeguard exhibitors and visitors to TRANSEC. As well as providing 24 hour cover throughout the build-up, during the event itself and its breakdown, we’ll be helping to ensure correct health and safety procedures are followed and providing overnight stand security to those exhibitors who request it.”
And at the exhibition, Securitas staff from the aviation, maritime and transport sectors will be on stand G22 to give advice on the company’s security services.
Monika Luis, Event Director at Transec said: “We are delighted to work with a global knowledge leader in security such as Securitas and have its support as an exhibitor at Transport Security Expo 2014. The decision to award Securitas the contract to deliver security guards and stewarding services to the event was an easy one based on the quality and reputation of the company. I am confident that the 22 country delegations, government officials and all visitors and exhibitors will be in safe hands.”
