Suprema Inc, the biometrics and security product company, will be among the exhibitors at the next free to attend Security TWENTY event, ST17 Scotland at the Glasgow Hilton, a new venue for ST, on September 5. Suprema will show FaceStation 2, its latest facial recognition terminal, second generation fingerprint IP readers and security platform.
Suprema was also among exhibitors at last month’s ST17 North at Harrogate, another new venue for the series. The ST conference-exhibitions are free to attend, including hot buffet lunch. You can just turn up on the day, although organisers ask that you register beforehand, to help with gauging the numbers to cater for.
The new FaceStation 2 comes with Suprema’s latest face recognition technologies. On the biometric side, the FaceStation 2 performs face matching of up to 3,000 matches per second, which makes FaceStation 2 the world’s fastest facial recognition terminal to date, it’s claimed. The product manufacturers report an enhanced algorithm, new optical structure and 1.4GHz quad-core CPU. As a result, matching speed has been improved by 300pc than the FaceStation, its predecessor, according to the firm. On the optical side, the new face recognition now overcomes possible interference from dynamic lighting conditions including sunlight and ambient light, the manufacturer say. The new technology now allows greater range of operating illuminance from zero lux to 25,000 lux which covers almost every possible lighting conditions regardless of indoor or outdoor, day or night, the company says.
