Sony at IFSEC 2013

by Mark Rowe

Sony at IFSEC 2013 has a new line up of end-to-end HD security products and services. Sony will be launching a new three year warranty for all video security products purchased since April 1. Last year saw the company’s IPELA Engine signal processing technology, the first IPELA Engine video CCTV cameras, and the Generation 6 (G6) range. The new warranty represents an increase from one to three years, and will be supported with an advance replacement service. Where an issue cannot be resolved by the PrimeSupport Helpdesk, the company will arrange for a replacement unit to be shipped to an agreed address. Same day despatch will be the target whenever an issue is diagnosed before 3pm Monday to Friday.

This momentum will be continued with developments set to be unveiled at the security show. The G6 range will figure strongly in Sony’s event announcements.

Sony is offering this replacement policy to all resellers as part of the Video Security Partner Programme, which offers installers a range of benefits, including price discounts, training and technical support.

Any customers requiring replacement products should visit: http://www.sony.co.uk/pro/article/support-contact-1208 for more information about the new warranty and instructions for initiating the replacement process.

Ryan Kawashima, Strategic Marketing Manager for Sony Europe, said: “Sony is coming back to Birmingham with a bang. IFSEC is always a great event and 2013 will be no exception. With the G6 continuing to lead the industry we’re confident customers will see considerable value in the developments we’ll be revealing. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for us to speak face-to-face with our customers and discuss the challenges they are facing, so please do visit us at booth 4/J10, to see the future of security for yourself.”
