C•CURE new version

by Mark Rowe

Tyco Security Products has released the newest version of its C•CURE 9000 security and event management software.

Software House, part of the Security Products business unit of Tyco , says that the additions to its C∙CURE 9000 security and event management platform simplify the management of people access. Features of C∙CURE 9000 v2.20 include credential deactivation, custom clearances, and activating events based on activity.

Credential deactivation enables you to automatically address unused personnel cards. With the version v2.20, your system can automatically disable personnel cards that have not been used in a specified time whether by employees, contractors, or visitors.

A user can create custom clearances that give individual access to specific doors, elevators, or groups of both. You can set up a custom clearance for a person versus changing a generic clearance for a group of people. For example, you can set up a custom clearance for a contractor who is working on a project for a week; once the week is over, his credentials are automatically disabled without affecting the clearances of any other card-holder.

Rafael Schrijvers, Product Marketing Manager, EMEA, for Software House, said: “The new capabilities in C∙CURE 9000 provide more intuitive ways to better manage personnel access. These features in C∙CURE 9000 represent how we continue to advance the way you provide individualised access to your employees, contractors, and visitors, creating a safer environment for your business.”

This v2.20 allows you to automatically activate an event associated with a specific person, and specific doors. For example, when the president of the company arrives each morning the system can automatically turn on the lights, HVAC, and send a report to his/her computer. C∙CURE 9000 is available through Software House’s worldwide distribution channels.
