HD internal IP dome

by Mark Rowe

Vista has launched a full HD internal IP dome that allows for remote set up/control of the lens zoom and focus setting from any PC or mobile device. The CCTV firm says this reduces installation and commissioning time.

The VK2-1080VFD3V9F offers triple streaming of fully HD 1080p video. Using Power over Internet (PoE), the camera can deliver three independent video streams that can be individually configured such as for live, recorded and remote viewing.

Vista’s Boost Feature enables the camera to automatically increase the number of images per second streamed and recorded when an event occurs. This means a customer can record continuously at a low frame rate; but, when an event occurs, the camera automatically increases up to 25 images per second 1080p HD video.

With alarm input/output, the camera integrates into third party systems thanks to ONVIF compliance. As with the rest of the VK2 range, the camera is supplied free with VK2-Client. This provides video management, allowing up to 128 cameras to be viewed at once, while recording up to 32 cameras to a local PC. This software also allows for connection to multiple VK2 NVR recorders, making it suitable the company says for larger IP systems.

Features of VK2-1080VFD3V9F include:

• Full HD 1080p resolution
• Triple streaming
• Remote set up of lens zoom and focus
• Local recording on in-built SD card
• Event Boost function
• PoE equipped
• ONVIF certification; and
• Local set up via VK2-LCT.

Mark Pritchard, Divisional Director – Vista, says: “This discreet little camera combines fantastic image quality with simple and efficient set up. Another variant to the rapidly expanding IP VK2 range, it demonstrates Vista’s commitment to providing IP solutions that are intelligent in design, simple to use, but extremely powerful.”
