Senstar at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

Senstar, the manufacturer of perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS) was showcasing its FlexZone detection product at IFSEC 2014. The ranging technology enables flexible zoning through software. It can detect and localise multiple simultaneous intrusions with the company says 3m location accuracy.

Mark Novak, Managing Director at Senstar UK and MENA said: “And, just as we have done with past product releases, we are in the process of having this new technology undergo testing by the relevant Government bodies to secure inclusion within infrastructure projects requiring formal certification.”

FlexZone supports 600 metres of sensor cable per processor, creates zones through software, and carries power and data on the sensor cable – reducing infrastructure costs, the firm says.

Novak said: “Not only do endusers benefit from the reduced installed cost of FlexZone, but installers save time with FlexZone because of pre-installed openings with cable glands on the processor, convenient USB connection for set-up and a single software set up tool for all phases of installation.”

Senstar also demonstrated an expanded fibre set of products, as a result of the Optellios merger announced in March.

Meanwhile the firm announced a new channel partner programme for the UK and MENA regions. In three-tiers, qualified installers can have direct access to Senstar sales and marketing resources, better margins and technical support.

Mark Novak, Managing Director at Senstar UK & MENA said: “We are excited to nominate five of our resellers as Senstar Solution Silver Partners, namely: Stanley Security, Probity Solutions, Site Technology from Abu Dhabi, Frontline Security Solutions and Pointer Ltd. We view our partners as an extension of our team, playing a key role in the go-to-market strategy and overall success of our company.”

Adrian Hill, business development manager at Stanley Security said: “Stanley Security is pleased to be part of the Senstar Channel Program. We see this as an opportunity to continue to grow our business in the PIDS space by further leveraging Senstar’s market leading position.”

These partners were recognised during the Senstar hospitality reception at the Senstar stand at IFSEC, starting at 5pm on Wednesday, June 18.
