Face detection, playback

by Mark Rowe

New from Dahua Technology, the Chinese manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products based in Hangzhou, are its iHCVR series products.

iHCVR, based on the company’s in-house High Definition Composite Video Interface (HDCVI) technology, offers face detection, playback and face index playback.

The HCVR products according to the makers retain the ease of use of analogue while offering up to 720P HD video output. Detected images, motion, alarm snapshots and video can be uploaded to the free ‘Easy Space’ (Network Cloud Disk) such as Skydrive and Dropbox for keeping data while save storage space, and allowing searches of recorded data. P2P allows connection between client-end and mobile apps, by scanning a QR code and going through the website www.easy4ip.com.

iHCVR products include the 5104/5108H-F; and 5104/5108HE-F, which supports four or eight channels of alarms in and three channels of alarms out. Software will be available for viewing on mobile phones in January.
