Technical sales joiner

Richard Lavender has joined Check Your Security (CYS) as a Technical Sales Engineer.

Richard joined the Norfolk-based installer us from Synectics where for the last four and a half years he was in pre-sales and sales support. Earlier Richard worked as an IT consultant for 15 years where he gained architecture and infrastructure experience including Cisco CCNA, Multi-Server Domain installations, management and support which took in Unix, Novell and Microsoft. He said: “I have always been interested in IT since I can remember, and taken advantage of any opportunity to learn and utilise technology whenever possible, in a personal and professional capacity. Over the past 4.5 years I have embraced any opportunities to work closely alongside customers, manufacturers and integrators such as Check Your Security, and develop further within such a specialist and skilled team.”

Carl Pace Managing Director of CYS, said: “His extensive and in depth knowledge plus ability to multi-task across multiple disciplines will be very useful and will fit well into our structure. His unbridled enthusiasm is infectious as it shows he will go that extra mile for our customers and his peers alike which is excellent as it adds and strengthens our team.”

Richard’s role will be to project and account manage some existing accounts and potentially look at bringing on board some new ones. The firm says that he will be cross-trained over a number of products sets to ensure he is able to continue to offer clients the maximum choice at the most cost effective price.
