NSI Gold approval

by Mark Rowe

The Scottish-based installer of intelligent building products and fixed and wireless networks, Boston Networks, has gained two Gold medals of approval from NSI, the National Security Inspectorate.

Boston Networks achieved NSI NACOSS Gold approval – for CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm Systems – and NSI Fire Gold approval – for Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (BAFE scheme SP203-1) in September.

The NACOSS Gold and Fire Gold approval was recognised by BAFE, the third party registration body for the fire sector.

Robert Moore, Fire Systems Director, Boston Networks said: “Achieving NSI NACOSS Gold, Fire Gold and BAFE status is testament to the drive and dedication of the Boston Networks team, who have worked endlessly to expand our Fire and Security division and to achieve these prestigious accreditations. Being recognised by the leading industry body will give us an important edge over our competitors and will allow us to continue to differentiate our service offering”.

And Richard Jenkins, NSI Chief Executive said: “To achieve double NSI Gold approval and BAFE recognition, simultaneously, is a fantastic accomplishment for Boston Networks. They are evidently committed to providing security and fire safety services of the highest order in Scotland, and by seeking independent verification from NSI, are clearly demonstrating this to their clients. Boston Networks have set in place processes and procedures that will be continually reviewed and improved, through the management of their Quality Management System, which NSI will continue to verify, along with compliance to sector standards, on an ongoing basis. I wish Boston Networks every success for the future.”

Glasgow-based Boston also has offices in Livingston, Aberdeen, and Bolton and Gateshead.
