by Mark Rowe

The Panasonic Nubo – which the multi-national product company says converges security and lifestyle – was named ‘CCTV Camera Equipment of the Year’ at the IFSEC Security and Fire Excellence Awards on London’s Park Lane. Nubo, described by the makers as the world’s first 4G monitoring camera, was introduced at Mobile World Congress in March 2015.

Rishi Lodhia, CEO of Panasonic Cameramanager, said: “Nubo is a game changer. The first truly mobile monitoring camera that allows the world to have all the benefits of a security camera, with the advantage of 4G connectivity. We are very proud to take the award, it’s great to know the industry likes it as much as we do.”

The WV-SFV781L 4K dome camera was shortlisted in the same category, while Walsall House Group (whg), an installation of 380 Panasonic surveillance cameras covering 17 high rise blocks, was shortlisted for the Security Project of the Year award.
