Silver Fox accolades

by Mark Rowe

The Silver Fox Audit Scheme, a division of FM Contract Watch, carries out independent audits to test security guarding teams around the UK.

The audit highlights areas where there are shortfalls in security and improvements can be made, but it also rewards good results. On Tuesday, January 19, Lynda Moore, Partner of FM Contract Watch, presented the Silver Fox 2016 Certificate to two teams operating in central London.

Scott Mitchell, Security Lead Officer, and Michael Wright, Global Control Room Co-ordinator received the award on behalf of the in-house security team at Graff Diamonds and they were congratulated on their excellent results throughout the year. During 2016 the Silver Fox auditors carried out numerous scenarios to test the security team including standard penetration audits, customer service, covert surveillance and telephone audits. When faced with an auditor the Graff Security Officers have always risen to the challenge and provided the required response.

A presentation was also made at Linklaters, an international law firm, to (pictured left to right) Simon Ghent, UK Security Manager and Alan Cotter, Contract Security Manager for Wilson James, after the results of a series of testing audits. Simon said: ‘I use an independent company to regularly audit my contract security team as it keeps them alert to suspicious circumstances and tests their reaction. I am delighted with the outcome for 2016 which has resulted in us being awarded the Silver Fox Certificate once again.’
