Cordant Services, part of the contract services company Cordant Group, has been awarded a five-year contract to provide an integrated facilities management and flexible warehouse resources for Ideal Shopping Direct across the multi-channel retailer’s two sites in Peterborough.

Cordant Services will deliver various security, cleaning, waste management, catering and reception services at Ideal Shopping Direct’s premises in Newark Road in the Cambridgeshire town, which includes a contact centre, offices and a fulfilment centre; besides at its premises in Sabre Way. The company will also provide on-site technical services that will see M&E and maintenance staff constructing sets within the retailer’s production studio ahead of filming in Newark Road. The team will also deliver traditional maintenance services across the two sites.

PMP Recruitment, also part of Cordant Group, will also provide Ideal Shopping Direct with temporary labour as required, to support the retailer’s fulfilment and warehouse operations during busy periods.

Samantha Holden, COO at Ideal Shopping Direct, said: “We were previously working alongside a number of different service providers, however Cordant’s vast expertise across a number of different disciplines, from cleaning and security to labour management, gave us complete confidence to deploy a consolidated model that will ensure significant efficiency gains.” And Chris Kenneally, CEO at north London-based (pictured) Cordant Group, said: “This is a fantastic contract win that perfectly illustrates our ability to comprehensively deliver a broad range of dedicated facilities management and labour solutions as part of a highly effective and joined-up approach. We look forward to building a successful partnership with Ideal Shopping Direct over the next five years.”
