A cyber-security firm has won the Artificial Intelligence Business category at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards 2019. Since being set up in 2013, Darktrace has used artificial intelligence; the firm’s entry was the demonstration of a security deployment at a large US municipality. Darktrace discovered and stopped attackers from exploiting a critical misconfiguration; had the cyber firm not identified and stopped the attack before damage could be done, the criminals would have gained access to the personal data of thousands of citizens.
