Kasabian mobile theft warning

by Mark Rowe

Northumbria Police ahead of the Kasabian concert at Newcastle Metro Radio Arena on the evening of Thursday, December 11 warned that in recent weeks at Kasabian events elsewhere in the country there were problems with a number of mobile phone thefts being reported. As a result police are keen to prevent such thefts at the Newcastle concert.

Neighbourhood Inspector Barrie Joisce said: “We know that thieves will target expensive smartphones they can see being used to take pictures on stage. Please be vigilant and don’t make it easy for thieves to strike, think about crime prevention.”

This advice includes never leaving phones or other property, such as purses and wallets, unattended on tables, chairs or in coats or handbags left on the back of chairs. Concert-goers should make sure they can feel their property close to them at all times.
