Tyco Integrated Fire & Security (IFS), a Tyco company which designs, installs and services fire and electronic security systems, is among the main sponsors of the Transported Asset Protection Association’s (TAPA) EMEA conference in Madrid, Spain on March 18 and 19, 2015.
TAPA is an industry association to handle the emerging security threats common to the supply chain. According to statistics from the European Union, theft of high value products moving in supply chains in Europe costs businesses more than 8.2 billion euros per year. A range of influential speakers from across the industry will discuss new and existing threats to the supply chain.
The agenda includes presentations from the World Customs Organization (WCO), the Spanish Guardia Civil and the British Standards Institute (BSI), with discussions on a number of markets such as the pharmaceutical and fashion industries. Tyco will exhibit its Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) platform, parcel tracking and cargo and pallet tracking solutions and volumetric verification using biometrics.
