Essen 2016

by Mark Rowe

More than 1000 exhibitors will be expected at Security Essen 2016, the German organisers say.

The security event runs every other year. The requirements on security are becoming ever more stringent with Industry 4.0 and increasing networking, as proven by a large number of hacker attacks in the recent past, the organisers say. Security Essen 2016 will take account of this.

Over two thirds of the exhibitors will show solutions relating to digital security technology. The companies which have promised to participate include the Group Security Services of Deutsche Telekom, Itenos, secunet Security Networks, Astrum IT and Fink Secure Communication.

IT security this year will have a separate congress on the subject of networked security for the first time.
