After the UK’s referendum vote on the European Union for Brexit, what of the strategic and operational implications of the new political environment? The business body London First is holding a seminar, titled ‘Security and Resilience Implications of Brexit for London, on Thursday, July 21. It’s running from 8.30am for a 10.30am finish, at the hosts SOAS (part of the University of London) and sponsored by the contract guarding company CIS Security.
As the organisers, the Security and Resilience Network arm of London First, say, the Brexit vote is sure to be new challenges in both security and resilience for the business community in London. This briefing will consider the early effects and the possible consequences that large and small businesses will need to bear in mind in their planning. The chair of the event and one of the speakers is Sir David Veness CBE QPM, the former senior Met Police man now among other things chairman of the Security and Resilience Network Advisory Board, for London First. Another invited speaker is John Barradell, Chief Executive of The Corporation of London.
