Barrie’s charity abseiling

by Mark Rowe

He’s only been there a few weeks – is he trying to make an exit already?! If so, why are there people at street level who are watching him, and why is he smiling? In our March print magazine, we mention that Barrie Millett, has become Head of Group Security at Wesleyan, the financial services company.

Barrie’s pictured here abseiling down the side of the Society’s central Birmingham building, for charity. The former chairman of ASIS UK, a former Royal Marine, is not one to shirk a fund-raising challenge. He did the ‘Survive the Yomp‘ in 2014, a cross-country challenge as set Commandos in Second World War training. He’s attending the ASIS Europe annual conference in Milan from March 29 to 31, but is pledging to go in and out by the proper doors and lifts.
