Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Rate: £165 p/day
We are seeking an experienced Data Cabling Engineer to join a team in Glasgow. The role involves the installation, termination, and testing of Cat5e cables, supporting the Lead Engineer as necessary. This position demands a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in data cabling.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Installation of Cat5e cables according to specific project requirements.
- Terminating and testing of Cat5e cables to ensure optimal network functionality.
- Assisting the Lead Engineer in various project-related tasks as required.
Experience required:
- Proficiency in the installation, termination, and testing of Cat5e cables.
- Experience working in a supportive role to lead engineers on projects.
- Capability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- ECS/CSCS card to verify knowledge and adherence to safety standards in the construction and engineering sectors.
- Personal hand tools and terminating tools necessary for Cat5e cable work.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be supplied by the contractor and worn as required to ensure safety on the job site.
