Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer

Location: London

Rate: £215 – £225 p/day

We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer for comprehensive service, maintenance, and fault-finding tasks on fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting systems across London. This role will focus on ensuring the safety and compliance of systems within care homes and commercial premises.

Description of contract/programme of works:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on fire alarms, emergency lighting, and electronic security systems across various sites in London.
  • Conduct mandatory 3-hour emergency light testing to ensure systems are functioning correctly and comply with safety regulations.
  • Utilise technical skills to identify and resolve issues with fire alarm panels and other safety systems.

Experience required:

  • Proficiency in servicing and maintaining fire safety and emergency lighting systems.
  • Experience working within care homes and commercial premises is preferable.

Required documentation/certifications/tooling:

  • A DBS check is essential for this role, ensuring the safety and security of vulnerable site environments.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ECS Fire Installer, ECS Electrician, IPAF, 17th Edition, NVQ Level, Lenel, City & Guilds) are highly regarded.
  • Contractors must provide their own hand tools, power tools, fire test equipment, and steps, along with full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
