Role: Fire and Security Installation and Commissioning Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum

Technical Resources are recruiting for a Fire and Security Installation and Commissioning Engineer in London to install and commission security (& Fire Alarm) systems ensuring all systems are installed and operating to the standards and specification of which they were designed, whilst maintaining high-level service and client satisfaction. To work for a variety of residential and commercial clients, installing an array of products such as Intruder, Fire, Access and CCTV systems.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the necessary certification and paperwork are completed and submitted for jobs/tasks undertaken.
  • To work in compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety standards and requirements, with the safety of self and others in mind at all time.
  • To perform all work to Company, Client and Industry Standards, in order to provide the best possible service to clients and meet governing body requirements.
  • To ensure the prompt completion of timesheets and any associated paperwork for the accurate processing of payroll.
  • To comply with the companies Quality Management System.
  • Planning, organising & executing.
  • Risk management .
  • Any other duties as directed by the Engineering Supervisor or Install Manager.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience installing / servicing Electronic Security (Fire Systems).
  • Previous security and fire technical experience, across all disciplines: Intruder – including signalling and UDL configuration. Access Control & CCTV – Analogue & IP
  • Fire knowledge would be beneficial
  • High Level understanding of security installation standards.
  • Good working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Computer literate; ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel etc.
  • Knowledge of Networking, Infrastructure and Hardware (CCTV, Access Control Applications).
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Proven track record of working to the highest quality standards.
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 design requirements (an advantage).
  • Excellent technical knowledge. Person Specification Essential
  • Strong communicator, able to transcend to multiple cultures & interact effectively at all levels.
  • Strong client relations and results orientated.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets.
  • Ability to organise workload in an effective manner, work under pressure and keep a cool head.
  • Capability to work within a Team Environment and on own initiative.
  • 5-year checkable work history.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Valid UK passport.
