Project win at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

Temporary CCTV, developed by Quadrant Security Group (QSG) for Dorset Police, was named ‘Security Project of the Year’ at this year’s IFSEC Awards.

The project saw the installer design, install, maintain and decommission an entire networked surveillance solution, to help Dorset Police cover 2012 Olympic sailing events at Portland and Weymouth.

QSG was shortlisted for two projects in the category. The firm has done work for Luton Borough Council and Magnox.Phil Doyle, Managing Director of QSG, said: “We are absolutely delighted. This particular project represents so much of what QSG is about – working in partnership with clients to devise, implement and maintain solutions that answer specific challenges in the best way possible, with the right technology for the job.

“The project was also about teamwork – from the system design, development and installation managers, through to the 24-hour support crew that re-located to be on-site for the project’s duration to ensure our client received constant “in-house” technical expertise.

“It was great to be involved in such a high profile security operation and to be recognised by our industry peers for the role we played in making it such a success.”
