Securitas make ISS Danish deal

by Mark Rowe

The multi-national security company Securitas has acquired the commercial security services business contracts and assets and some stand-alone receptionist services of ISS Facility Services in Denmark.

Securitas and ISS Facility Services say that they have agreed to closely cooperate in delivering integrated facility services to both Securitas ‘and ISS’ customers in Denmark. Securitas has also acquired most of ISS Facility Services’ security business and a limited number of ISS receptionist services in Denmark, with total annual sales of about MSEK 30 (MDKK 25) and about 50 employees.

The acquisition will be consolidated in Securitas as of September 1, 2013. Visit: www.securitas.com.

What makes the acquisition of more interest is that the rival G4S sought to buy ISS in 2011, but was forced to pull out by its shareholders.
