Access Ease

by msecadm4921

Installer R B Emerson Limited has recently completed its first major BPT access control contract with ease, the firm says.

System 300 and Impro IXP400 access control systems, both from BPT Security Systems (UK) Ltd, have been installed into Abbotts Wharf by R B Emerson. This London residential development by Telford Homes is a showcase of urban regeneration, featuring 201 apartments, split between private owners and housing associations.

The site coverd a large area and four separate blocks. As a result, R B Emerson Limited selected the modular BPT System 300 audio door entry system, which uses two wires. Such a system also benefits Telford Homes as not only can the cost savings be passed on, but they can do more with the equipment, it is claimed – including on-screen messaging and alarm signal reporting to a concierge still using just two wires. All or selected calls may be intercepted from entrances to residents and routed to the concierge switchboard or his home, if required.

The BPT System 300 has been integrated with the IXP 400 proximity access control system by R B Emerson Limited, combining all front end elements into one vandal-resistant panel. These are installed at all the main entrances to Abbotts Wharf and at car park gates, allowing one tag per person to operate all the entrances and exits. Although R B Emerson Limited has used BPT equipment before, this was the first major BPT based installation for the company.

What they say

Andrew Casey of R B Emerson said: "it’s reliable kit, we had training from BPT when it was required and got very good support from them."
