ACS Gained

by msecadm4921

Regency Security’s guarding division, Regency Guarding, has gained Approved Contractor Status from the Security Industry Authority.

The accreditation follows an independent assessment of the company’s performance, including customer service and the quality of its employment practices. Regency Guarding has also achieved the ISO9001 quality management system and The British Standards 7499 and 7894.

Regency Guarding is the most recent addition to the Regency Group. Regency Security and Regency Training were established in 1993 and 1996 respectively.

Regency awards and accreditations include the British Standards 7960 and 7858, ISO9001 quality management systems, and the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme. Although participation in the ACS scheme is voluntary, Regency Guarding see it as an essential element of the business, as John Pearce, Regency Guarding Business Manager, said: “Regency has always been at the forefront of initiatives which are designed to raise standards within the security industry, so there was no question as to our involvement with the ACS. Being recognised as the benchmark for all security providers, the accreditation will give us an even better working relationship with the authorities and businesses, and in turn means our clients will receive greater piece of mind and the assurance that they have chosen the best provider possible.

“The assessments were rigorous, and even included monthly mystery shopper, client, and staff audits and interviews with Regency’s clients and guarding staff to ensure that we really do follow best practice and have effective customer-focused procedures. Essentially, Regency Guarding gaining ACS accreditation means that our customers can rest assured that they are working with one of the best security providers in the industry.”

Gary Powers, Managing Director of the Regency Group, said: “It means that we can now supply our clients with a complete range of approved security services and cater for every need – from guarding to key holding and alarm response, mobile patrols, event stewarding, door supervision and security training. Regency Guarding already has a strong client base, but this will help us to grow the business, create jobs locally and nationally, and excel in client care within the guarding industry.”
