ADP Security Systems and partner Carisway Facilities Management Ltd are providing security services as part of a facilities management package for The Boardwalk at Port Solent managed by C B Richard Ellis (CBRE).
Carisway Facilities Management was awarded the contract after it satisfied all of Port Solent Management’s requirements for a single supplier to provide a combined service. The total support package covers health and safety, energy management, building maintenance, planting and landscaping, CCTV, security, cleaning, machinery supply, consumables and waste and pest management. Carisway and ADP report that they had to meet a set of strict criteria to become an approved supplier to CB Richard Ellis, the commercial real estate firm, which manages the site. These included health and safety requirements, and a commitment to training.

John Holt, CBRE’s newly appointed site manager for The Boardwalk at Port Solent, said: "We went out to tender for a combined facilities management package for the centre and we were impressed with what Carisway had to offer. The site covers an area of eight hectares of which 240,000 sq.ft. is mixed retail and leisure. Carisway FM’s proposal for security provided by ADP Security Systems, met all of the criteria within our tender, and their presentation in particular was extremely professional. ADP is also accredited under the National Britannia Safe Contractor scheme." ADP Security Systems is providing round-the-clock security on behalf of Carisway FM for the leisure and retail development. ADP carried out a security audit before planning the security arrangement that includes security officers, alarms and CCTV monitoring.
