City Call

by msecadm4921

The recent vehicle bomb attempt in Times Square in New York may raise community concerns around the potential for a similar incident within the City of London, say police.

Using Transport for London and City of London Corporation cameras, the City of London Police monitor street activity to help us reduce crime and anti-social behaviour. However, the force adds, it also relies on people who live and work within our community to tell if they notice anything suspicious. The City force adds:

"You know if something isn’t quite right – when you give something a second glance, because it’s out of place. The police would really like to know about it. It may be completely innocent behaviour, however, nothing is lost by checking things out a little further. It would help the police if you tell us immediately so that we have the best chance of speaking to the person or investigating the incident before they leave the area."

You can call the confidential Anti-Terrorist hotline on 0800 789 321.
