Conflict Award

Maybo the UK conflict management consultancy is offering an award to the organisation that has done most to prevent violence towards staff.

The Maybo Open Palm award 2004 will be presented to the company or organisation that has taken exceptional measures to prevent and manage assaults at work.

Bill Fox, Maybo chairman, says: "Over the past five years we have seen huge leaps forward in how companies and organisations train, look after and equip staff to deal with difficult situations. We are great believers in the promotion and sharing of best practice in the conflict management sector. We therefore want to celebrate achievements of organisations by presenting them with our Maybo Open Palm award."

The award will be given to the company or organisation which has put together the most comprehensive and effective plan to reduce conflict for its staff and customers. The judges will be selected by the Security Industry Training Organisation.

The first winner of the Maybo Open Palm award was Vision Security Group in 2003. Judges were impressed that this relatively new guarding company, had decided to provide conflict management training to improve its overall customer service.
