This year’s ConflictPro Awards are supported by BII, the professional body for the licensed retail sector.
For a second year the organisation is sponsoring the Conflict Professional Licensed Retail Award. This award identifies individuals who have made a significant contribution to managing and reducing violence at work, perhaps by introducing a new policy or procedure, or by continually handling difficult situations well. Those that can be nominated include licensees, managers, staff, and trainers.
BIIAB, the BII’s wholly owned awarding body, with City and Guilds, is sponsoring a new award created specifically for door supervisors, who are often in the front line when it comes to managing conflict. The Conflict Professional Door Supervisor Award offers door supervisors the opportunity to show how their personal performance has led to a safer environment for customers.
Cathie Smith, Director of BIIAB, said: “These Awards are designed to recognise those people who have made a significant contribution to managing and reducing conflict and violence in the workplace. Our industry is now more diverse than ever and it is important to reward both licensed retailers and door supervisors for the important role they play in managing conflict. If you know someone who has made a real difference, and whose hard work deserves to be recognised, nominate them today!”
There are a number of categories to reflect the diverse range of industry sectors that have to address the issues surrounding conflict at work, for more information about the categories call 01580 881260. Closing date for entries is 24 August.
