“Out of Recession to Securing the Future” is the theme for CONSEC 2011, the annual conference and exhibition of the Association of Security Consultants (ASC).

Now In its 17th year, it will be held on Thursday, November 3 at the Royal Air Force Museum at Hendon, north London. <br><br>Peter Clarke CVO OBE QPM, the former Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Specialist Operations and now an independent consultant, will be chairing the conference.<br><br>Lord James Bethell, one of the patrons of the Association, will provide the Opening Address, as last year.<br><br>Other speakers are scheduled, including a representative from the Home Office who will submit a presentation entitled “The Impact of Recession – An Increase of the Risk of the Insider Threat?” A spokesman from SOCA will provide details about the economic downturn and the impact on crime.<br><br>The major sponsor for the conference will be Lenel Systems International Inc., and they will be joined by other sponsors including KABA, Bold Communications, Salto Systems, Tyco International, KABA, HID and Samsung. The media partner will be Professional Security Magazine.
