Thames Valley Crimestoppers has organised two fundraising events, open to all.
The aims: to raise awareness of the work of Crimestoppers and contribute funds to help run the organisation in the region.
First is a clay shoot on Friday, April 28 at the West Wycombe Shooting Ground in Buckinghamshire. The day will start with breakfast and a safety briefing. Shooters will then test their skills, and can take part in a team ‘flurry’ competition. Individuals and teams can take part and there is no need for previous experience – many people at the shoot have never handled a gun before. The day ends with lunch. Teams of three shooters can enter for £495 and individuals pay £165. This includes everything that is needed to take part such as guns and cartridges and the help and advice of instructors at each of the stands.
The second event; a golf day at the Denham Golf Club in Buckinghamshire, on Thursday July 6. Corporate and individual teams are welcome with entry fees at £400 and £300 respectively. This includes refreshments on arrival and at the ‘halfway’ hut and ending with lunch.
Details and copies of the entry forms for both events from: Thames Valley Crimestoppers, PO Box 4818, Earley, Berkshire RG10 0FT. Ring 0118 934 3253.
