Croeso To All

by msecadm4921

Mark Rowe introduces his first email newsletter of September 2008.

Walking along the front at the mid-Wales coastal village of Borth, I saw a advertising hoarding for Titan Security – and looking the name up later, there seems to be several security companies using the name Titan. Anyway, this one had a fox’s tail pinned to their sign. Can any reader explain? And from the Cambrian News (your number one paper for Aberystwth and district!), news of a £5000 buggy bought by Powys Police for patrols on Borth beach … which hasn’t actually ever been used and is sitting at Aberystwth Police station. Police are going to sell it – sounds suitable for a guarding company to patrol a car park – but obviously not suited for patrolling pebble beaches. This is the place to praise – alas only in English – the achievement of British Transport Police Chief Constable Ian Johnston for gaining his Level 1 Welsh Language certificate, presented during the National Eisteddfod of Wales festival 2008 in Cardiff.
