What they say
Paul Gemmell, Product Manager for fire products at BSI Product Services, says, “This is a landmark deal within the global fire products market. The Kitemark is synonymous with quality and safety and internationally, Government Departments, buyers and specifiers already utilise the added value provided through Kitemark certification as a pre-requisite for tender. Texecom Limited operates worldwide and their commitment to Kitemark will provide them with a huge market advantage."
Anne Boyd, Managing Director of BSI Product Services says, “Building on the Kitemark’s success in the domestic smoke and heat detector market, our aim has been to extend into the commercial sector. In the last year we have invested substantially in new test facilities attracting several high profile fire alarm panel manufacturers for Kitemark. In order to offer manufacturers a complete service we added two smoke and heat tunnels and a reverberation chamber and now have full EN 54 testing capabilities. Our commitment to the fire industry has ensured that for the first time a fully Kitemark certified fire alarm system can be specified."
Mark Pitts, Chief Engineer for Detectors and Warning Devices of Texecom Limited says, “The state-of-the-art fire test facilities coupled with the Kitemark’s internationally recognised reputation make BSI an ideal partner for Texecom. Our detectors have already developed a reputation as among the best in the industry, adding the BSI Kitemark will only enhance that reputation and open up new markets for us.”
