Digital Version

by msecadm4921

Building on its functional GSM intercom, Videx Security has introduced a new digital version with the capacity for up to 1000 apartments.

It is available in the 4000 Series design, where there are two versions, one with name scroll facility and another with additional alpha keys A-F. There is also vandal resistant style with optional alpha keys A-I.

The totally self-contained digital GSM unit only requires a power supply unit and antenna. It creates what the company terms a truly wire free installation. These include a name scroll facility in 4000 Series style and each of the 1000 apartments has its own access code, apartment number and name as well as two telephone numbers to call a primary number. If that is not answered or is engaged, it calls a divert telephone number.

Each user can also be part of one of 10 time bands, allowing him to choose when they want to receive calls and when they do not want to be disturbed. Call progress information through a two-line 16 characters back lit LCD display and voice annunciation are also provided making the product DDA compliant.

Programming options are available via the keypad and display or via PC software and a USB micro USB cable. A push to exit button input and dial in to open facility for 2000 numbers allows users to dial the intercom and release the door or gate without any charge for the call.
