Samsung has launched a new range of video door phones and associated door cameras. They’re suitable the makers say for residential and commercial buildings.

There are four models of wall mounted internal video door phones available to provide either hands-free or physical handset operation. Designed to seamlessly fit into virtually any environment there are 4.3-inch, five-inch or seven-inch colour LCD monitor options each with the ability to attach Samsung SVS-0001 audio handsets or additional video door phones, as well as multiple door cameras. The range consists of:

The SVD-4332 which is equipped with a 4.3-inch colour digital LCD monitor, door release button and handset coupled with the ability to connect up to three additional handsets or video door phones and two door cameras. It also has an “image capture” button, allowing a still image of the caller to be captured and stored. The SVD-5033 which has a five-inch TFT LCD monitor, door release button and handset coupled with the ability to connect up to three additional handsets or video door phones and three door cameras.

The SVD-5002 which has a five-inch TFT LCD monitor, door release and is operated hands-free coupled with the ability to connect up to two door cameras.
And the SVD-7012 which is equipped with a seven-inch colour TFT LCD monitor, door release and hands-free functionality coupled with the ability to connect a separate handset or video door phone and up to two door cameras.

The associated door cameras, which have been designed to offer an elegant yet robust solution, also come in a variety of flush mounted entrance panels equipped with two-way audio and a colour camera. There is a choice of two, four, six or eight button master panels as well as four, eight, 12, 16, 20 or 24 button extension panels. There is also the option of standalone entrance door cameras which are available in standard or anti-vandal versions.

“The introduction of the Samsung Video Door Phone range is yet another example of Samsung’s commitment to be a full security solutions provider,” said Peter Ainsworth, Senior Product Manager for Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd. “Our design engineers have capitalised on the latest technology to ensure that the stylised appearance of the new models is matched by an easy to use and reliable set of features.”
