Manned guarding and CCTV monitoring firm Legion Group plc has formed a subsidiary company, Legion Technologies Ltd.

Legion says it’s a strategic alliance of UK technology companies who are partnering Legion to offer what the company terms fully integrated security solutions that combine security officers and security surveillance and asset tracking.

In partnership with electronics specialists Skyguard, Sensor and Evolution, asset and vehicle tracking software specialists Traceall, and national emergency response and keyholding service provider Nikaro, Legion Technologies says that it provides a single point of contact for access to the installation, maintenance and management of security solutions while ensuring the firm adds local management of contracts through Legion’s regional offices.

Legion Technologies also offers the Skyguard lone worker protection service which utilises GPS/GSM technology to precisely locate any incident. Backed by Legion’s 24/7 Emergency Response Centre and Nikaro’s national fleet of emergency response vehicles, the Skyguard service provides protection for vulnerable lone workers. Through Sensor, Legion Technologies can offer portable perimeter security solutions using infra-red technology and pan and tilt CCTV, night vision and thermal imaging cameras, while Evolution products use the latest communication techniques over Ethernet, TCP/IP, LAN or WAN. Traceall’s web-based traceability software is designed to track and trace valuable high risk goods through complex global supply chains, minimising loss and shrinkage, the firm adds.

What they say

"Legion Technologies Ltd is a one stop shop offering bundled services to provide cost-effective security solutions that can be tailored to customers’ specific needs," said Legion Technologies’ Managing Director Derek Smith. "It simplifies the whole procurement process and enables us to develop and integrate technology into our security services across our customer base."
