Field CCTV

by msecadm4921

Turning a field into a communications hub for concerts and shows, and even providing transmission for television coverage of events, CBA Spindlewood have used customised Vista Powerdome Pro cameras with a built-in encoder and long-life battery, to provide CCTV cover for temporary sites.

Charles Brownridge, CBA Spindlewood’s Commercial Director, says: "Equipped with our battery and encoder, the Vista Powerdome Pro is ideal for the varying light levels of a modern music festival or concert. Light levels can change massively at these events, proving the ultimate test of a camera’s day/night vision. We are observing very complicated scenes, full of people and movement that range from the full light of a summer’s day, to nighttime scenes with flashing stage/effect lighting. The Vista Powerdome Pro range has proven to handle these challenging conditions at concerts all over the UK."

CBA Spindlewood covered major music events of the year including Latitude, Leeds Festival, Reading Festival, V Festival, Download, and Glastonbury. The company recently received a National Outdoor Event Association Award for Innovative Product – in recognition of their wireless CCTV networks at music events across the UK.

"Due to the nature of their installations, it is very important for CBA Spindlewood to have access to reliable high-performance products, technical back-up, and fast routes of product supply," says Mark Pritchard, Vista’s divisional director. "With Vista, products can be ordered at the end of a working day and be guaranteed to arrive on-site before 9.00 a.m. the next day. This support can prove invaluable to help meet the tight installation deadlines that are the nature of the temporary event and concert security installation business."
