A year after being accredited to the Network Video Integration Partners (NVIP) scheme launched in 2005 by ADI-Gardiner, SM Technology’s growth in IP and access control installations has seen its status rise from silver to gold.
Launched by Managing Director Nathan Dervin and Technical Director Paul Curran in 1997, and now a national supplier of IP, access and CCTV solutions, Somerset-based SM Technology has worked closely with ADI-Gardiner over the past two years since shifting its focus entirely to digital surveillance.
What they say
"Business has expanded dramatically and we are working with and installing some of the industry’s very latest products, providing good feedback to ADI-Gardiner and the manufacturers involved, such as Sony and Axis, with whom we also have accreditation," says Nathan Dervin.
As a distributor, ADI-Gardiner reports, it partners installers in determining and supplying network systems, and is also asked by end users for advice on the solutions available and to recommend installers who have the required skill sets to install them. Hence the NVIP partnership scheme. SM Technology operates a nationwide team of engineers to install and support its systems.
"SM Technology is our first NVIP partner to be promoted up to the highest accreditation level. This has been a credit to the way that SM Technology has approached the market," says ADI-Gardiner’s UK Integrated Systems Product Manager Ray Ashby.
"They have increased their technical knowledge to be able to offer an excellent service to their customers, and in our opinion are one of the best in the UK at providing the necessary Network Video Integration support."
