Acclaimed Security, has created the Guard-Safe System, to combat unprofessional and unauthorised security officers who may leave premises unattended, or who may sleep while on duty.
Roy Unwin, Managing Director of Leeds-based Acclaimed, said: "Over the last decade we have worked to secure many business premises, and in this time, we have had an increasing awareness of some unscrupulous security officers’ working patterns. Guard-Safe is a computerised system that we have developed to completely eliminate the ongoing problem of sleepy or wandering guards, by monitoring their movements and ensuring that security officers and lone workers are always alert and present, while on duty.”
Each guard logs on to the system at the start of his or her shift with a unique security code, over the mobile phone network. Each guard then reports in hourly to confirm that they, and their site are safe and secure, and that they have concluded all patrols assigned to them. This information, which is relayed back to the central control room automatically updates the system to display all real-time recorded calls of guards, working across all active sites. Roy adds: "Random checks are periodically made throughout the guards shift by the Guard-Safe system contacting the site and requesting a verification code. This code changes every few minutes to totally eliminate any opportunity for the guards to roam. This mechanism is so complex that anyone trying to beat the system would be detected immediately, and acts as proof that Acclaimed customers receive the service they are paying for. The security industry faces many challenges today, not least from unprofessional guards who have given the industry a bad reputation. We, at Acclaimed Security, are dedication to raising standards and improving the reputation of the industry, and it is through listening to our customers and observing their problems that we have sourced the solution in Guard-Safe.”
