The board of FSG Security plc reports the acquisition of Guardian Facilities Limited on June 30.
Guardian Facilities is an ACS accredited company, holds double gold NSI certification, NACOSS certification.
Guardian Facilities provides a range of uniformed manned guarding services, event management and CCTV installation and maintenance and covers the South Coast and London.
Another part of FSG, Firewalker Events Security Ltd was recently appointed as the security and Stewarding provider for Gloucester Festival 2008.
Held between July 19 and August 3, the festival consists of two weeks of entertainment and activities, for all ages and cultures across Gloucester and beyond. The celebrations culminate in a free fireworks display on Saturday, August 2 in Gloucester Park.
Chris Woodford, Director of Firewalker Events Security said that all those concerned in the event were keen to make this year a success: "In 2007 the floods arrived the day before the festival started and many parts of it had to be cancelled. Firewalker is delighted to have won this years tender and to be part of such a prestigious, large scale event suitable for all."
Meanwhile, FSG Security plc announces the following internal promotions:
Chris Woodford remains a Director of Firewalker Events Security Ltd and is appointed to the main board of FSG Security plc as the Group Support Systems Director. Bob Mudie is promoted to Group HR Director; Thomas Maclean is promoted to Group Personnel Manager; and Gary Graham is promoted to Operations Director South.
