His last contribution was in May 2010.

Ken had been a friend of mine for about 35 years since we first met when we were both Regional Chairmen of the International Professional Security Association. He was the consummate professional in everything he did and he was prepared to say what he thought even if he was in a minority of one. I have often noticed that in a number of the issues he raised he was way ahead of his time – and so often right. He campaigned on many issues including rights for whistle-blowers and tighter border controls.

He was formerly a member of the Organised Crime Squad at New Scotland Yard and later a security advisor to the pharmaceutical industry.

For more about Ken see this link to the Wivenhoe municipal website –

http://www.wivenhoe.gov.uk/people/ken_rogers.htm
