This year RemGuard Visual Management – the remotely monitored CCTV specialist – has been sponsoring British racing team RML’s high-powered MG Lola EX257 open prototype sportscar in the Le Mans 24 Hour race and the four-round Le Mans Endurance Series.
A highlight of the season for the RemGuard-sponsored car was the completion of more than 20 hours of the Le Mans 24 Hour race to secure the MG Lola EX257 endurance record – factory-run cars never got much further than the half way stage.
The RML team’s three drivers Mike Newton, Tommy Erdos and Nathan Kinch all drove a superb race, until an engine failure at 12:15pm on the Sunday caused the car’s eventual retirement – frustratingly close to the finish.
