In the UK, tackling terrorism is not simply the responsibility of the police and security services – it is about organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors working together to make the UK a hostile place for terrorists to operate in and further enhancing the resilience of our communities. With this in mind, the North West Counter Terrorism Unit, with CityCo, Securitas and the Manchester Business Continuity Forum are running the Business Sentinel inaugural event. It seeks to bring together the police service, local authorities and Greater Manchester businesses to build relationships and identify new ways of tackling terrorism together.
