Motorola Agreement

by msecadm4921

Verint Systems Inc., a provider of analytic software for security, has announced an agreement with Motorola.

It’s to enable the use of Verint Nextiva Wireless devices on MOTOMESH broadband wireless networks. The Nextiva Wireless portfolio has MOTOMESH Ready validation, certifying that Verint Intelligent Edge Devices with integrated video analytics can be deployed by councils, public safety bodies and enterprises using MOTOMESH network technology.

What they say

“This agreement brings Verint and Motorola together with complementary technologies to enable security and law enforcement personnel to deliver coordinated and effective emergency response,” said Jim Clark, General Manager of Video Intelligence Solutions for Verint Systems Inc. “Our Nextiva Wireless Intelligent Edge Devices are well suited for operation on Motorola’s powerful mesh networks, and will enable us to leverage the growing momentum in the municipal security market.”

Motorola’s MOTOMESH wireless broadband network enables users to wirelessly access anywhere, at any time – even in a moving vehicle. By deploying Nextiva wireless video management solutions on a Motorola mesh network, private security, law enforcement and emergency response personnel have access to security video and data, delivering, according to the firms, heightened situational awareness to enable a more effective response.

Nextiva includes video management software, integrated analytics, encoders and IP cameras and DVRs, allowing networked video across multiple sites and applying content analytics to extract actionable intelligence from live and stored video, according to Verint. By alerting security staff to potential security threats, Nextiva helps organisations prevent security breaches, improve response time and enhance operational efficiency, the firm claims.
