NI CIT Kidnap

by msecadm4921

Police are investigating a reported tiger kidnapping in the Lagmore area of Dunmurry, Belfast on Wednesday, August 17.

According to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) a number of armed males forced their way into the victims home at around 10pm on Wednesday night and abducted a woman and her teenage son. Her husband, who works for a cash in transit company, was forced to attend work as usual on Thursday. Thieves then made off with a substantial sum of cash from his vehicle on Thursday afternoon.

Police were alerted to the incident on Thursday evening and were then contacted by An Garda Siochana who discovered the woman and her son as they responded to a report of a burnt out van on the Castleblayney Road in County Monaghan in the Republic of Ireland at around 8pm.

The family were not injured but are said to be traumatised following their ordeal.

Detectives are liaising with An Garda Siochana. The investigation is at a very early stage but PSNI are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the Lagmore area on Wednesday evening or the Newtownhamilton to Castleblayney Road on Thursday evening.
