Honeywell have launched the new Galaxy 3 Series intruder alarm panels. They offer compliance with the requirements of PD6662/prEN50131-1:2004, the maker reports.
The Galaxy 3 Series offers two control panels; the Galaxy 3-144 and Galaxy 3-520, which allow up to 144 zones and 520 zones respectively. The new 3 Series panels are fully backwards compatible with existing Galaxy alarm systems, and are designed to make it easy for installers to upgrade from existing Galaxy panels to the new Galaxy 3 Series. New features in the 3 Series panels include 16 onboard programmable zones, with eight onboard programmable outputs, plus improved communications performance with integrated PSTN and RS232. Both panels are provided with integrated, intelligent 2.5A power supply units that provide reports such as the status of the battery, and are suitable for the requirements of security grade 3 installations.
