New West End Company launched its District wide Crime Intelligence Partnership (CIP) for West End Businesses in May 2006.
Since then 150 West End Businesses have joined.
Results from a CIP survey which was sent out to all CIP members last year showed that 100pc of members found the CIP Monthly Crime Reports beneficial and thought that being a member of the CIP was beneficial to their business. The partnerships objectives include:
Prevention and detection of crime
Apprehension and prosecution of offenders
Reduction in losses due to business crime
Reduction in the opportunity to commit crime
A safer and more secure environment for visitors
